Our goal is to change features of driving dynamics according to the driver’s desire during the drive. Instead of having to compromise between sportiness and comfort, increasingly electronically adjustble undercarriage systems are implemented. Conventional dampers are replaced by adjustable variants which can change their damping feature attributes in a split second. Besides, air suspensions replace steel springs and help to increase comfort via modifiable suspension rates, height adjustments and less friction loss. For high demands, fully active undercarriage systems are utilized. They can raise counterforces themselves. Hence, it is possible to balance road unevenesses and even incline the vehicle in the curve. From far-reaching assistance systems to fully autonomous vehicles, the megatrend autonomous driving likewise raises new demands to future undercarriage systems. For steering these active systems, different sensors are needed. This includes a position and acceleration sensor, capturing the chassis movement in comparison to the wheel all the way to the camera as well as radar or LIDAR-based sensors. The latter are for roadway scanning in order to be able to react to road unevenesses prior to their occurrence. Moreover, maps, cloud or Car2Car based communication systems can be implemented for ensuring anticipatory steering. Besides the electronic components, we provide components for sensing, sensor evaluation and actuator steering. We plan, select, develop and deliver turnkey systems in cooperation with our partners and also integrate components form third-party providers. A wide range of series controllers enables us to provide a selection of cost-efficient solutions also for small-series of prototypes.
